Bambuda Lodge

Bambuda Lodge is the only place in Bocas with a waterfront location and a massive pool. Only 5 minutes from town, Bambuda offers the perfect blend of good vibrations and chilled out atmosphere. We have a 150 foot waterslide from the bar to the ocean, a coral reef for snorkeling and acres of lush jungle for exploring. Our on-site bar and restaurant will keep the cold drinks flowing while you relax by the pool. Spend time in one of our many interesting hang out spots where you can enjoy the amazing view and the delicious food with friends.We can organize any and all of the available activities in the surrounding area: Tours, transportation and so many other activities. We will gladly explain everything you need to know about the area, and which activities will best suit you, depending on your interests. You can have an action packed vacation on any budget.Our property is covered by lush natural rainforest with 30 different kinds of fruit trees growing. Behind the hotel you will find miles of available hiking in our own private jungle. Around the house you will find mango, lemon, pineapple, bananas, bread fruit and several other tropical fruits growing.Directly off the dock we have a coral reef teeming with marine life. Borrow our snorkeling gear or rent our kayaks or pirate island and go exploring!Getting to us and around Bocas:Please note Bambuda Lodge is located on Solarte Island and the only way to arrive is by a ~7 minute boat ride (water taxi) form Isla Colon. Once here, we easily arrange a water taxi to take you directly from Bambuda Lodge to just about anywhere around the Bocas Islands you may want to go, day or night. We have a board that lists water taxi prices & info, and can arrange for one to pick you up at any time you need. Traveling to town typically costs $5-$10/pp depending on the time of day and number of people going. We also have scheduled water taxis leaving the hotel every hour from 7AM-11PM. We are fully surrounded by nature, jungle and one of a kind views.Eating & Drinking at Bambuda LodgeDue to our location in the jungle please note that there are no other restaurants or stores you can reach walking from the hotel. Also, due to all of the critters living in the jungle, as well as our off-the-grid power system, we do not have a common kitchen, and ask guests to please not bring their own food to the hotel. We have a full restaurant and bar that serves three delicious meals per day.
